Las Roncas is the bar at Hotel índigo Guanajuato, a Hotel wich main concept is to bring the ambient, culture and traditions of Guanajuato and show it in the design, food and drinks. The name comes from a fragment of a poem that talks about a famous man from Guanajuato, that loved to sing and play the guitar: “...con las roncas cuerdas de su guitarra tocaba melodías...!” . So two important elements were taken in count for the design of the identity, the body/silhouette of a guitar and the fretboard with the strings, both essential elements to create melodies, and to encompass everyhting a vintage type wich can be seen in traditional bars or cantinas of the city.
